Pete has been working in the Camera Department since 2011 and stepped up to Focus Pulling full time in late 2015. He specialised in
commercials in 2017.
He is experienced with most technical filming including: Tracking Vehicles, Cranes, Jibs, Motion control, Steadicam, Drones, Car mounts, Low
Loaders, 3D rigs, Underwater scubacams & nauticam, Live TV, Gimbals, Highspeed, Dolly, Macro & Tabletop filming.
His first Virtual Production shoot was in October 2020 and he has completed 17 VP Shoots (Feb 24) since then. He loves the progression
of working on a technology that is continuing to develop and improve, and enjoys guiding first time VP crews and was asked to be a
guest lecturer for Mars Academy’s VP101 Course (VP, XR, MR & AR Volume work).
He was featured in British Cinematographer: Focus on Virtual Production vol 2. for being a pioneer of VP. Read it here
He has worked with all mainstream digital cinema camera formats, accessories and with all variety of lenses: anamorphic, spherical,
vintage and large format, relay and probes.
He enjoys being the lead focus puller on multicam, multi-unit jobs but also likes the nimble nature of smaller documentary style units. He
has worked with local and foreign crews and productions in 5 continents including stints in USA, India, Taiwan, Lebanon, Thailand,
Cambodia, Slovenia, France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Bulgaria, Sweden, Sri Lanka. He is currently learning Spanish to help with travel to continent number 6.
